Enjoy a typical Mauritian meal!

Located next to the Recif Hotel and the Aquarium of Pointe aux Piments, La cabane du Filoa (the filao’s shed) is the perfect place to go if you are fed up with eating tourists western style food, proposed in your hotel. The dishes are cheap, substantial and delicious. On one hand, you will come for Trisha’s recipes and on the second hand,  you will stay for Vicky’s flavoured rum (difficult to stand up after the 3rd drink!)

Come on and taste Tuna, Sea bream or Lobster depending of the daily fishing! You might as well fish it yourself : it’s a profitable activity as you will graciously eat your catch (beware of seasickness!) in tartare, stew or barbecue…!

If you are looking for immersion in Mauritius Island and share the Mauritian good spirit, this warm stop-over will change your trip!
